175th Campaign Commitment
We have a campaign goal of $175,000 (above and beyond our Operating Fund Campaign) for the remainder of 2023 and throughout 2024. We want to honor our past by upgrading and improving our facility, growing our congregation, and adding a cushion to our operating fund. Commitments may be made weekly, monthly or in a lump sum.
A member of Grace, Roy Johnson offered his talents to make ballpoint pens from a ‘retired’ pew that had been purchased in 1912. The pew was retired after a fire destroyed the original church building. The pews were originally purchased by Grace United Methodist Church from the proceeds of the ‘Star Cookbook’ sales. The hand-crafted pens will be given to people donating $1,000 or more to the 175th Campaign.
Roy has made 25 pens and will be making more if needed as commitments are made. We are thankful that 16 congregants have already pledged and/or paid $1,000 or more toward our goal. The pens are available in the office if you’d like to look at them. Please prayerfully consider your gift to this important commitment to 175 more years!
