Join us for the Mike Caringello Memorial Hunger Walk on October 4 at 10 a.m. at Mineral Springs Park. Mike was a long-time leader in our community and a dedicated member of Grace United Methodist Church, where he served as an usher, acolyte, and greeter for many years. He initiated the Hunger Walk several years ago, and since then, it has raised thousands of dollars to help feed those in need in Pekin. Mike had a deep compassion for the hungry and took seriously Jesus’ command to “feed my sheep.” This year, the funds raised from the Hunger Walk will be evenly distributed among the Pekin Outreach Center, Grace United Methodist Church Food Pantry, and the Salvation Army.
If you are unable to attend the walk, you can still contribute by sending your donation to Grace United Methodist Church. Alternatively, you can bring your donation to the park on October 4 and join us in walking a mile around the beautiful lagoon.
